Almost everyone gets to Ireland one time or another. The West of Ireland always held its unexplained mystique of a sojourn back in time, where the fuchsia bloom and the heather grows wild across the heath and the seas crash against the brooding sea cliffs. Bruce and Claire Fisher did just that back in time, a five-year span… mostly on impulse. They centered on the Dingle Peninsula where pre-Celtic civilization organized a thousand years ago. Friends from Newport settled there, and we were drawn. We came to know Dingle and its environs and maintain close connections. The first time we came, we saw…. we’d be back. Subsequent times we partook of the Joie de Vivre… the final time was a mission to see after an old friend. And that's the way of it… A Celtic Sojourn… The Craic… and a Parting Glass.
