This Second Edition begins with a selection of essays providing practical advice for families beginning the habit of daily prayer. This advice is merely based upon my own personal experience and derives from material originally published on my blog, We See Through a Mirror Darkly (www.thruamirrordarkly.wordpress.com). It is my intent to encourage and provide a template for regular family prayer life and encourage laity on how to develop a habit of common prayer. There are a selection of family and individual prayers from Bishop Edmund Gibson, prayers commonly published during the Elizabethan era Books of Common Prayer, and a modernized version of the 1662 prayer book Catechism for children.
