Finally, it stopped raining for a bit. Monsoon season was tapering off in the hill country. If only the temperature would stay steady, there would be a smell of change in the air. A few flowers like henbit and dead nettle are blooming. A few of Chuck's bees can be seen flying to and from the few dandelions in the yard and buzzing around the homemade bee hives. Chuck is a simple guy, in his late thirties, but he's had a very complicated and troublesome past. For years, Chuck has been traveling on a rough journey, all around the country and in lands far away. He's even been to a few places you've probably never heard of. He's met many interesting people and has been on many amazing adventures. He's got a wonderful wife and kids and things are finally starting to work out in his life. But Chuck still has a long way to go. Chuck has struggled with the consequences of some of his past adventures for a long time, but he's never quite understood or even remembered some things because he stuffed so much into a big box in the darkest corner of his mind, just so he could try his best to never show his weaknesses to the world around him. But, recently, he's been starting to make some progress in untangling the mess of memories by digging into that box so he can try to get rid of some of the screams and flashes that come from it. Has Chuck opened Pandora's Box? On a bright, sunny day, Chuck sat outside with his dogs, Lou and Dizzy. They all three enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine, when Chuck was feeling motivated and could keep the demons and memories of his past from totally taking over him. He sat in his favorite rocker on the porch, with both of his dogs at his feet. A simple, black notebook and a pen laid on the porch railing, open to a page with fresh writing. Chuck's feather pen laid on top of the open notebook. The first sentence in today's therapy writing read, "So no crap, there I was........."
