The Extreme Rocketry booklet on Level One Certification is a step-by-step introduction to the certification process necessary to advance into High Power Rocketry. It covers not only the mechanics of building and flying an L1 rocket and the legal process required, but also the importance of joining a rocketry organization. This booklet has been completely updated to reflect changes in the law the past few years. This is a new publication, never before published. Tim Quigg has 35 years of experience in the field of rocketry, having entered the hobby flying model rockets as a freshman member of his high school rocketry club in 1975. He continued his interests in rocketry through college at Washington State University, where he majored in journalism and English. Over the years, he has amassed a collection of nearly 350 rockets in his fleet, representing a wide variety of sizes and motor impulse ranges. Quigg is a past member of the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA 4252), and is currently a level two certified member of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR 62887). Having successfully completed the NARs Trained Safety Officer certification, Quigg is currently participating in the three levels of the organizations NARTrek program. He also held the position of Assistant Editor for Extreme Rocketry magazine for over seven years.
