This book is true, a real-life story of a little girl named Eunice, daughter of Idaho homesteaders and granddaughter of Old West pioneers who settled in the Idaho Territory around 1880. The details are told in first person, as dictated through audio recordings and journals, and woven together by the author into a moving account that touches the heart and soul. Readers will identify with the joys and sorrows, the peace and the turmoil, that speckle the adventures of one girl's amazing journey through life. Eunice's experience and perspective will inspire others to cherish happy memories, stand through the storms, and choose hope in the face of despair. Her strong faith and determination will encourage the weary traveler to press on, despite the odds, to triumph over troubles and to finish life's course with grace, thanksgiving, and dignity. This real-life saga blossoms into a legacy that sheds the warm glow of hope and forgiveness on a pathway that others can follow. The printed version includes a bonus chapter taken from life-lessons shared by Eunice to encourage her readers to use these key concepts to find a place of peace, contentment, and strength for their own journey. Come along, and enjoy the read! Rebecca Faith Howell lives in Boise, ID where she met and married her church camp sweetheart 47 years ago. Jim and Becca have two children and seven grand children (six on earth and one in Heaven), all of whom provide story material on a regular basis! Coming from a strong Christian heritage, Becca remembers meeting Jesus in her early childhood as she knelt beside her mother in their family living room. She is continually grateful for the heritage of faith upon which her life was built and for which she was named. She will tell you that, "Any life can supply writing material, but only a life with Jesus as Lord can promise happy endings." Her life credo is Proverbs 3:5-6,  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."  [NKJ] Becca uses various genres to lift the spirits of her readers and to bring hope to the wounded heart. Her purpose is to bring sunshine in the shadows, hope to hard times, and humor through Life's bumps and dips. Becca has published a novella called  The Littlest Warrior , in loving memory of her fourth grandson who died pre-birth, and  A Song in the Night , her mother's amazing biography. Upcoming titles are  Born to Privilege ,  a Bible study for women, and  Off-track with J2 , a collection of railroad stories. Her website,  PrismOfLife.com , is still under construction but will regularly feature excerpts of all genres in her portfolio. Becca says it always came natural for her to write about everything, but when someone thanked her for putting into writing what they had never been able to say she adopted this motto: "You are not an author because the world decides to publish your work; you are an author when you realize that God has made you the voice for others whose thoughts and feelings are lost for words."

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
