James Baldwin was an American author and teacher. At one time he was credited with having written or edited more than half the books used in schools throughout the United States. Baldwin's most famous works include Old Greek Stories and Fifty Famous Stories Retold. A Story of the Golden Age is a book that retells the life story of the Greek hero Odysseus.
