Fuddles—the fat, pampered cat—weathers a wintry wonderland in this holiday story of merry misadventures! The way Fuddles, the overly indulged feline, sees the world, it’s better to receive than give! And what better gift for Fuddles than Christmas? One winter day, he wakes up to the smells and sights of the holiday: a juicy turkey dinner, sweet gingerbread, and a tree decorated with shiny, glittering toys—all for him! But when Fuddles tries to climb the tree, his family chases him away. He runs outside to escape, smack into cold and ice and snow! Will Fuddles ever make it back home in time to celebrate the merriest time of the year? Fuddles is a very pampered cat, so he is not at all surprised when his family lays out a huge banquet—just for him—and a stack of presents—also just for him—under the best gift of all: a perfect climbing tree. But when his Christmas tree–climbing antics get him unceremoniously whisked out the front door and into a cold and snowy backyard wasteland, the oblivious kitty, last seen in Fuddles (2011), has to find his way back into the house, and he manages to do so in a very holiday-appropriate manner. Vischer’s soft, detailed illustrations capture the cheery kitty’s mischievous antics and triumphant return to his warm abode. Good-natured, silly holiday fun.
