Join me in a journey of discovery that began in March of 2017 as I was challenged to dig into God's word to answer this question: What does the Bible tell us about the role of the Holy Spirit as the primary agent of change in the lives of Jesus' followers? In Jesus' Last Supper Discourse recorded in the Gospel of John chapters 13-17, our Lord Jesus introduced the Holy Spirit to his disciples using the descriptive name "Parakletos" which expresses the Spirit's impending relationship with them to be as one who is literally "called near" or "called beside." This name expresses the close, personal nature of the believer's relationship with the Holy Spirit. My purpose for this daily devotional journal and study is to share what I have been learning from my research in God's word and practicing in my own life to provide a way for you to develop a biblical, daily, relational practice with the Holy Spirit that fulfills God's purpose for the Spirit's presence in the followers of Jesus Christ.
