To All Beloved Children, When Grammy and I moved to Southwest Florida four years ago, I was awakened to the beauty and mystery of the water. Each day brought me closer to dolphins, turtles, manatees, and countless other creatures I had never experienced so closely before. As I watched and studied them, I began to see that, just like the trees and the birds we’ve already written about, the water creatures also carry deep lessons for life. My hope is that as you read these pages, you will discover not only the wonder of these animals but also the wisdom they share: joy, courage, patience, gentleness, and so much more.
