200 Reviews collects selections from 20 years of writing by film critic, scholar, and podcast host Jonathan R. Lack, who began writing movie reviews at the age of 10 for The Denver Post’s Colorado Kids section and never looked back. Alongside many of the author’s best film, TV, and video game reviews, 200 Reviews contains copious amounts of new and previously unpublished material, including reviews of all 13 Star Trek films, all 9 Star Wars ‘episodes,’ and every film directed by Lack’s favorite filmmaker, Hayao Miyazaki. 200 Reviews is a massive collection telling the story of a lifelong personal journey through film via written encounters with the medium, and is intended to help foster an appreciation of both the art of cinema and the parallel art of writing about movies.
