This book is not just another Black history compilation. Rather, it is a personal offering—a devotional collection that draws from the books on my shelf, which have empowered and enriched me over the years. Each day of February, I will provide a brief annotated bibliography and a quote from one of these books, intended to inspire, challenge, and provoke thought. These books are diverse in their subjects, from social justice to culture, from race relations to theology, and they have all played a role in shaping how I engage with the world. This is more than just a book about Black history; it is a window into the texts that have informed my personal and professional journey. It is a celebration of the voices and perspectives that have shaped and continue to shape the ongoing conversation about race, culture, and faith.
