About the wick width:
Our 10mm width wick should be slightly smaller. But please no worries, it's a perfect size for your homemade candles. Through our testing, our wick can perfectly fit 8cm diameter candle tins, that means it is suitable for most sizes of candles tins on the market.

How to make candles with our cross wicks?
1. Carefully assemble two pieces of wood chips in cross direction.
(Although the wood chip will not crack easily, it is better to assemble it carefully. Since we cut the grooves on the wood chip, it will be not that easy to insert. But also after inserted, it will be a firm structure, not easy to be apart.)
2. Insert the wood wick to a metal base.
3. Place the wood wick with metal base in the middle of a candle tin.
4. Pour some melted soy wax, and wait until the wax cools and solidifies.
(You just need to hold the wick when pouring wax. No need to use a sticker to fix the metal base to the bottom of tin, as the weight of the base and wick will just ensure it stay upright.)
5. Trim the wick to a proper height. About 5cm pokes out the surface is recomended.
(If too low, the wick will be hard to lit and flame will be weak and small. If too high, the flame will be unstable and flickering.)
