BRZ is an excellent soil amendment and fertilizer carrier. It holds nitrogen as ammonium, has a high potash content (approximately 3.47% potassium), has no water soluble sodium, holds over 55% of its weight in water and buffers soil with up to 2.02% calcium. The ability of BRZ to load with 1.8 to 2.1% nitrogen in the form of ammonium in its crystal structure makes it excellent for fertilizer applications. The nitrogen is not water-soluble, but it is plant accessible. BRZ holds the nitrogen in the root zone of the plant and releases it gradually as needed for growth. Nitrogen is used efficiently and groundwater contamination is reduced. Commonly used as a soil amendment, for breaking down compost, cat litter alternative, absorbent for spills and odors, traction control. This granular Zeolite is a pale green color and granule size is -8x40 mesh. CAUTION: Water must be added shortly after application. BRZ will adsorb existing water out of the soil and create a dry condition that may harm the plant. Not for human consumption Zeolite is a naturally occurring, negatively charged product of sea water and hot magma. Its unique porous, cage-like structure works to absorb unwanted positively charged ions and molecules and trap them. This structure has the ability to loosely hold molecules such as calcium, sodium, magnesium and potassium and exchange them when absorbing the undesirable molecules such as ammonia, heavy metals. Zeolite is widely used as a soil amendment for its ability to increase water retention in the soil and allow plants to more easily access it. Unbelievably, it can hold up to 55% of its weight in water and slowly releases it to the plant as needed. Application Rates: Lawns: For new and existing lawns till in 5-15 pounds per 100 square feet in the top 3-4 inches of soil before seeding or laying sod. Water thoroughly. Flower and Vegetable Gardens: Till in 5-15 pounds per 100 square feet into the top 6 inches of soil before seeding, planting, or transplanting. Potting Soils: Thoroughly mix 1-3 pounds with 10 pounds of potting soil and water thoroughly. Not for human consumption.
