The story of Art Tyson, the first and only African-American to be inducted into The National Horseshoe Pitchers Association Hall Of Fame. Art Tyson from New Haven, Ct won the Connecticut State Title, 13 New York State Titles and placed in the top 10 in the Men's Championship Class 19 times, placed in the top 5 eight times and came in second 3 times in the world in horseshoes. His career certainly deserves Hall Of Fame Status and he has earned his place, well deserved in the history books. Art Tyson was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1939, one of eleven children. Art is the first African-American to be inducted into the National Horsheshoes Pitchers Association Hall Of Fame, which was in 1993. He won 14 Championship in horseshoes, 13 in New York and one in Connecticut. He came in second place in the world three times, in 1991, 1996 and 1999. Glenn Ellis was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1955. He is the second African American to win the Connecticut State Championship in horseshoes. Glenn Ellis is the writer of the play/script published as a book entitled, "The Names Have Been Kept The Same," and co-author of "Why Do People Treat Me The Way They Do? He has a record label called Positive Records Period that emphasizes and focuses on songs that the entire family can enjoy.
