I was born and raised in the Midwest. Missouri, specifically.That's where I've lived most of my life, first in Kansas City, then inBelton, finally in Columbia. Although I did move to New Mexico for twoyears. I lived briefly in White Rock and primarily in Santa Fe. I knew from a fairly young age that writing was my favorite thing. Theonly assignments I really cared about in school were ones that involvedwriting with any kind of creative license. There were a lot of scattered attempts and false starts at consistent writing until January of 2004. I was fifteen years old, we had just moved, and gotten a kickass computer for Christmas. I spent a years writing fan fiction, and technically I've never stopped. Eventually, in March of 2013, I discovered WattPad. That, combined with the factthat I was lucky enough to be in a position where I didn't need to leave the house to do my job, meant that I began working on my first realnovel. That novel became Necropolis. I self-published it andpromptly got started on a sequel. That kicked off my writing career,such as it is. I've since finished The Shadow Wars, which came out to be fifteen novels, and some novellas and short stories, and I really justsee this as a prelude to the rest of my career. I've got a lot moreideas. Currently, I live in Columbia, MO with my wife, aroommate, and two cats, and I manage to scrape together enough money towrite full-time.
