Even if we are fortunate to live passed this mark, the quality of life sometimes leaves much to be desired. Our physical and mental capabilities diminish rapidly, accompanied by pain and a myriad of symptoms. To some, death, may seem like the easy way out. If you answer yes to any of these 3 questions, then this book is for you!:• Is there anything more important than your health? • Does your health concern and worry you? • Are you aging prematurely?Ponce Deleon went in search of the Elusive Fountain of Youth, and Dr. Cima found it in a quote by Mr. Thomas Edison:“The Doctor of the Future will give no medication but will interest his patients in diet, care of the human frame, and the cause and prevention of disease.”Although the definition was near perfect, there was no how-to manual that explained how the doctor was going to treat his patients or to instruct them on how they should care for their health... until now. After 43 years of teaching, practicing, writing, and living this philosophy, Dr. Cima wrote this book. The purpose of which, is to give you the 20% that will yield 80% of your results. That means that your health can literally improve over the next few years regardless how bad your health or health problems are now. Dr. Cima hopes that you will enjoy this book as much as he did writing it. He wrote it for you, your family and loved ones. Dr. James P. Cima was born in New York City in 1948, He was in the first wave of baby boomers. Growing up in New York City was a great challenge in many ways and prepared him well for life. Poor grades and a spinal condition changed the destiny of his life. During his early teen years, he developed severe back pain, which was thought to be congenital, and because it was congenital, there was no way out. Over the next few years, my back pain became debilitating to the point that something had to change. His doctor did not want him to undergo surgery and suggested that he tough it out, which he did. One day it really hit home while he was lying on the floor of his girlfriend's living room in severe pain when her father's friend asked him what was wrong. After Dr. Cima explained his back pain, he was told, "It is going to get worse with age". He knew the man was right and that it was only going to get worse if he didn't correct the problem. Had it not been for that epiphany, he probably would never have chosen the path he did. Making matters worse were poor grades and lack of ambition. From there, he was accepted into Cornell's pre- veterinary program and graduated in the top 25 % of his class. and that day he made a commitment to be the best doctor he could be. After graduation, he went to a Doctor of Chiropractic who helped him with his back problem. As he learned about the profession, he realized that they were able to treat many other health problems besides back pain. He then applied to and was accepted into New York Chiropractic College. As he was in his last year of school, he saw the quote from Thomas Edison about the doctor of the future: "The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in diet, care of the human frame, and the cause and prevention of disease." Although the definition was near perfect, there was no how-to manual that explained how the doctor was going to treat his patients. From that day forward, he wanted to become the doctor of the future. He devoted his life to health and wellness, and forty years later he has created a health and wellness program that lives up to Mr. Edison's vision of the doctor of the future.
