Frequently I have heard those who, it seemed to me, ought to have known better, say that as far as they were concerned they could see nothing of spiritual value in this little book, and that they questioned very much whether it were really entitled to be considered as part of the inspired Word of God. As far as that is concerned, it is not left to the Church in our day to decide which books should belong to the canon of Scripture and which should be omitted. Our blessed Lord Jesus Christ has settled that for us, at least as far as the Old Testament is concerned. When He was here on earth He had exactly the same Old Testament that we have, consisting of the same books, no more and no less. Henry (Harry) Allan Ironside was born in Canada in 1876. Converted at the age of fourteen, he lived to preach and did so throughout North America and the British Isles. For Eighteen Years he was pastor of Chicago's Moody Memorial Church. The author of over 100 books, his scholarship was recognized by many Bible Institutes and Seminaries. H.A. Ironside went on the be with the Lord in 1951. The clarity of his preaching led hundreds of thousands to a knowledge of the Word of God. His writings are as fresh and instructive today as when first published.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
