Prof. Dr. Riyadh Al-Samarai was born in Salah Al-Din in 1970 and is a graduate of the University of Technology in Baghdad, holding BSc & MSC in mechanical engineering. He obtained his PhD in mechanical engineering-Applied Mechanics from the University Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia. Prof. Dr. Al-Samarai has held several positions including, Director of Missions and Social Relations, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Head of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at Samarra University. He is the winner of the 202Iraqi Scientific Excellence Award and has launched a MSC program in electromechanical engineering at Samarra University. Prof. Dr. Al-Samarai has received many medals and awards, including the Creativity Award for Scientists in Malaysia, many medals in international scientific forums and conferences, Iraqi Forum for Intellectuals and Academics (IFIA), and the Best Research Paper Award at the Asian Universities Conference in Malaysia. He is the editor-in-chief of the Samarra University Journal of Engineering and Science and has 32 years of research experience, 23 years of university teaching experience, 16 years of administrative experience and more than 60 publications including citations 350, h-index = 7 and research grants of US$1 million. Prof. Dr. Yarub Al-Douri is a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and is winner of the prestigious Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation 2024. He is one of the Middle-Easts, North of Africa and Southeast Asias most renowned scientists, known for his contributions in renewable energy and nanotechnology. Prof. Dr. Al-Douri is a scientist, researcher, administrator and an excellent lecturer who has students all over the world, and received his Doctorate D’etat in materials science (2000), MSc in physics (1995) and BSc in physics (1991). He has been appointed full professor, visiting professor, adjunct professor, consultant expert, associate professor, assistant professor, research fellow, scientific collaborator and post-doc in UAE, KSA, Iraq, Malaysia, Turkey, Pakistan, Algeria, Yemen, Singapore, Germany and France, respectively.
