She earned a PhD in Forensic Genetics from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She also has a post- degree Diploma in Applied Genetics, a Master Diploma in Improvement in Psychological and Behavioural Techniques of Criminal Investigation, a diploma in Criminal Investigation, a diploma in Crime Scene Investigation and a diploma in Criminalistics: specializing in Crime Scene. She is President of the Worldwide Association of Women Forensic Experts (WAWFE), and honor member of several international associations. She is author of more than 200 papers and presentations, serving also as editor in- chief or editorial board member and reviewer for some international scientific journals.
