The Harvester war is over and many conscripts were released from duty. Hammond was not. At the end of the war, the combat engineering corps were retained by the Alliance to help rebuild the worlds ravaged by the Harvesters. Disappointed, Hammond is given command of a terraforming team and sent to Teargen, the home of the Naviego, to help rebuild their world. After setting up a forward command base, Hammond's team stumbles upon survivors of the war, these survivors hold a secret that could upset the balance of power among the aligned worlds and may hold the secret to the origin of the Harvester war. Aftermath, is a military-based science fiction novel told from a first-person narrative. Our protagonist is a reluctant hero that discovers he is more than just another cog in the machine.
