The Agnes Sharp mystery series ends with a bang in this explosive finale from the author of Three Bags Full . The octogenarian housemates at Sunset Hall are busy preparing for the wedding of one of their own, the blind and blushing bride Bernadette, but as the big day approaches, they must fend off a mysterious killjoy from the past. Spring is in the air, and Sunset Hall is abuzz with anticipation of Bernadette’s upcoming wedding. But not everyone is feeling celebratory. Namely, her best friend, Agnes Sharp, who isn’t a fan of Bernadette’s plan to leave the house share and its residents behind. Nevertheless, Agnes and the not-so-sprightly gang of pensioners launch into wedding-planning mode after a spot opens at the high-class Foxglove Manor—in just two weeks. The minimum number of guests to even get the champagne fountain bubbling is twenty—a tall order for a reclusive couple in their eighties. Not to mention the high likelihood that their friend groups might not be compatible: Bernadette was once a police informant, while Jack, the groom, used to make a living in organized crime. Just when they think they have the guest list squared away, a threatening note appears at the house. Agnes and the others decide to handle it themselves, not wanting to cause the betrothed stress. With some assistance from a private investigator (another person to add to the guest list!), Agnes digs into the case of the poison-pen letter, determined to ensure the wedding goes off without a hitch . . . aside from the bodies they’ve already had to hide from the bride. Will Bernadette and Jack happily ride off into the sunset together, or will this be sundown for Sunset Hall for good? Praise for Agnes Sharp and the Wedding to Die For “Wickedly funny... She lives in England. Prologue Agnes felt strangely empty after the wedding. She placed her peculiar fascinator on the kitchen table, made some tea and manoeuvred a generous slice of wedding cake onto a plate. Then she arranged the cup of tea, the piece of cake and a cake fork on a tray with a jug of milk and was about to get herself a sugar cube but decided against it in the end. The truth was: she was sick of the sight of sugar cubes. Finally, she glided up to the first floor with the aid of the stairlift, not to her room, but to the sunroom, which was of course deserted and completely devoid of sun at this time of day. It smelled a bit musty too. Agnes clicked on a reading lamp and watched for a moment as the light cast ominous shadows onto the walls. The chair—a gravestone; the spider plant—a spider, no less. Even her own shadow appeared shifty and strange. She sighed, shaking off the bad mood like raindrops. She poured some milk into her tea and shovelled the first forkful of wedding cake into her mouth. Delicious. She realised she’d left the teaspoon in the kitchen, so she stirred her tea with the cake fork, then took some paper and a pencil out of the games drawer. She spent a long time staring at the empty sheet of paper, which seemed to glow in the light of the reading lamp. She had the urge to chew the end of the pencil, but that didn’t seem wise, what with her fragile false teeth and all. During her long life, Agnes Sharp had spent an inordinate
