Aleesha And The Crown of Dragons is a story told to my grandchildren. It all started innocently enough, the first day of a family vacation, with a request from Jane, who was eight at that time, when she asked, “Grandpa, tell me a story.” “What’s the story about?” I asked. Immediately, she said, “It’s about a Princess and a Castle.” Jane loved princesses, and she had just been to Disney World. Ben, her cousin, also eight added, “and a Dragon.” “Hmmm,” I said. “Let's see a Princess, a Castle and a Dragon. That's a hard one, but let's see.” The story was fun for me to tell, but most importantly, the reaction and participation from the grandkids made it special. Each day, I would tell them a new chapter. Through “Real Time” segments, their comments, reactions and questions are woven into the fabric of it all, providing tenderness and humor. Aleesha And The Crown Of Dragons follows the life of an orphan farm girl named Aleesha, who by chance meets and rescues Abovinza the Queen of the Dragons. As a reward, she is granted one gift from the Cave of Treasures. A rusted old crown calls out to her. She selects it from a countless assortment of jewels and coins spewing from trunks and barrels scattered around the cave. As she touches it, the rust dissolves, revealing a golden crown with jewels embedded in its band and a dragon with emerald green eyes on top. Through the five jewels in the Crown, she gains the ability of flight, invisibility, fire, healing, and teleportation. The magical Crown of Dragons has awakened. Come along with Princess Aleesha as she sets out to reclaim her kingdom with the help of the Crown and special friends she meets along the way. The adventure continues as Aleesha searches for the lost Island of Dragons. Queen Abovinza is convinced that she and her family are the last of the dragons. Sail along with Aleesha and her friends as they discover new lands and are threatened by new dangers.
