A barbershop is a place a man could go and relax; and chill with other men for a few hours. This is also his man cave away from home. These were the things that he could do in a regular, and a normal barbershop, but this was not my barbershop. No! My barbershop was a cross-town in Sunny South Dallas on Bexar Street. My barbershop was Alexander’s Barbershop, and there was nothing normal about it. At my barbershop, you could get a haircut and shave, but you could also drink beer and alcohol. You could play poker, shoot dice, and play dominoes. You could watch sporting events on TV, play on the football board, and buy and sell things.
