His family joined the Church in January 1976 in Dublin, Ireland. He obtained a Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Sociology, Politics and Social Policy from University College Dublin in 1997 and a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations from Dublin City University in 1999. He completed two years towards a professional Diploma in Financial Planning from the Irish Insurance Association in 2001. He also received a Diploma in Applied Taxation from the University of Limerick in 2009. He has worked as a Manager in the Irish Civil Service for 18 years, in areas of Taxation, Customer Services, Human Resources, and Law. He previously worked in private industry for 3 years in the areas of Insurance and Tax advice. He served in the England Birmingham Mission from 1991 to 1993. He has previously served in the Church as a district Sunday school president, as a YSA Institute class president, twice as a ward mission leader, twice as a Gospel principles teacher, twice as a Gospel doctrine teacher, twice as an Elders quorum president, as a counsellor to a Bishop, as a Branch young men president, and as a Branch president for nearly 10 years. He is presently serving as a Branch Sunday School president, a Stake High Councillor, a Stake Sunday School president and as the Church History Specialist for the island of Ireland. He married Veronica Gibbons in the Preston England Temple on November 27, 1999, and they are the grateful parents of one son, who is presently serving full-time as a service missionary in the Dublin Ireland Stake.
