CULTURE: Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors as soon as soil can be worked or approximately 4-5 weeks before last frost. Cabbage plants are heavy feeders and therefore will benefit from a heavy dose of well-composted manure. Floating row covers and biological controls are effective tools to protect against damaging insects.
