Genevieve Galvan Frenes spent her early years on the outskirts of Caruthers and then later, moved to Selma, California. She graduated from Selma High School in 1987. She attended Fresno Pacific College (now University) and graduated in 1991 with Magna Cum Laude Honors. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Single Subject Teaching in English. In 2004, she completed her Master's Degree in Educational Administration at California State University, Fresno, with Phi Kappa Phi Society Honors. She has taught English at Hanford High School for 19 years. Presently, she is married to her husband of twenty-four years, David. Together, they have five children. She resides in Hanford, California. This is the author's first novel.
