Dickinson adds into the illustrations educational facts about bees that fit perfectly into the story. Then it keeps moving along educating the reader even more on the importance of bees. Our world thrives on these little creatures, and Dickinson does a fab job at showing that here. The illustrations are gorgeous, and educational as I said above. Dickinson keeps stacking the learning elements by adding a "Fun Facts" page at the end as well. I have nothing bad to say at all about this book. It's perfect for any child who loves insects and good for kids who have a fear of bees to see the other side of things. JoAnn Dickenson has done it again!
