It’s subject is of an old Iroquois trapper and horse descending a steep hill and their motion is suspended in mid-stride. This statue is reproduced in the purest American bronze, cast by the superior lost wax process, finished in a bronze patina like the original and then hand-rubbed to bring out detail and highlights. The statue is then mounted on a fine marble base with an etched brass name plate. Remington's signature is on the bronze. The incredible detail of this sculpture is a Remington master works.
