Sam joins the Navy and becomes a Navy Rescue Swimmer and helicopter aircrewman deploying to the world's hot spots. Eventually he enters a navy officer commissioning program and becomes a Navy Helicopter pilot fighting Iranians in the Arabian Gulf. Although this book is fiction, the characters and events are based on real people and situations.
