Ben Reiver was born and raised in the New York City metro area. After the events of September 11, 2001, he became a New York City police officer in order to serve his city and country. His assignments included patrol in Rockaway, Queens, the NYPD Harbor Unit, and the NYPD Special Operations Division. Aside from policing, he is an avid writer, photographer, loves to travel, cook, and creates weather forecasts for a well-known meteorologist. Ben is a member of the NYPD Honor Legion for a rescue he conducted with his partners during Hurricane Irene in 2011, and is currently retired.
