In 1991, a feminine angel named Kyrsalyn is on a mission to aid a young girl in Reno, Nevada to become all that God has called her to be….. Having lost her parents at four years old, seven-year-old Gwen Davis, an only-child orphan, is all alone. Her only comfort is her portable cassette player, a collection of favorite albums of Christian Music, and her Bible, which she turns to quite often being an occupant of a local orphanage. After being shuffled off onto multiple foster families and agencies, the little girl is finally taken in by her grandmother, who lives just above Irene and Tony Richardson, a well-known nurse and paramedic couple in town. Kyrsalyn, a warrior angel sent from God to aid little girls all over the world, has been commissioned by God the Father to help Miss Davis along Life’s narrow, twisting pathway. However, just as the second-grader begins to discover the calling of God on her life, an evil ancient foe of the feminine angel seeks to destroy her assignment….. For the next fourteen years, the forces of Hell muster in a barrage of differing spiritual attacks, in order to put an end to Gwen and her two best friends Meghan and Kristyn! The unseen warfare climaxes as Miss Davis reaches her early twenties, as the enemy of her soul initiates the plot to end her life during a night ride on her bicycle…….and a budding, potentially romantic friendship with a young man named Curt Everrett! Three decades later, forty-year-old Julie Dartmouth, or “Joules”, as her friends and family call her, feels a strong calling from the Lord to remain single forever. Her younger sister Sadie writes her a letter, asking her how she came to that conclusion for her life. During a two-week solo camping trip to Stampede Reservoir in Northern California, during the autumn of 2024, Julie explains just how and why she’s come to this decision, which she feels is from the Holy Spirit. Her calling, however, is not without some severe attacks from the enemy, both past and present. During her adventure in the Tahoe National Forest via a vintage 1984 Chevy Mallard Motorhome, the young woman is confronted by memories, disappointments, and even periods of past despair at her singleness. Through her informal, honest, and humorous correspondence, Miss Dartmouth radiates the purity, joy, contentment, and community that can be found in a Calling of permanent singleness.
