Join Arash and Roxanne as they celebrate the beloved Tirgan summer festival! Tirgan is the ancient Iranian celebration of rain. It takes place 13 days after the Summer Solstice. It is also the day that Arash the Archer shot his arrow all the way to the Oxus river and marked the border between Iran and Turan. Activities include splashing water at one another, tying colorful "wish" bands around the wrist, and eating Shol-e-Zard saffron rice pudding. Ages 4 - 9.
