A brightly colored, spiral-bound first guide to people and places all over the world provides fascinating facts about a variety of people, customs, cultures, and countries. PreSchool-Grade 1. Both of these series entries include a minimal text and plastic overlays. Atlas of People contains scenes from different countries and the overlays show people engaged in activities common to the nationality represented. The illustrations are of average quality. The text offers several facts about the areas depicted but lacks detail; some of this information may be too advanced for the intended audience. Peter Spier's People (Doubleday, 1980) is a far more interesting and effective treatment of the topic. The Human Body is the more successful of the two titles because the transparencies show the interior of the body, adding layer on top of layer to illustrate the skeleton and different systems and organs. Each section of the body is clearly labeled. Two additional purchases.?Marion F. Gallivan, Gannon University, Erie, Copyright 1997 Reed Business Information, Inc. Used Book in Good Condition

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
