Our heroine Alice is back for more in the odd world of Wonderland. New faces both friendly and frightening...follow her beyond the rabbit hole. Meet Patience and her entourage of companions, and join them in a black and white world where things are not what they seem. This book includes both a sequel to Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland , as well as my own spin-off story that fits the same format. I included 24 illustrations for each story--all done by my own artist-channelling hand. The composition of these stories spanned the better part of three years, with on again/off again writing spurts, finally resulting in this one book. Though I very much enjoyed the little "insanities" of them both, I had to take a break from this style of writing, and moved on to other things--though still quite surreal to say the least. By the vastly growing little notes and tidbits that would only fit into such a story, rumor has it that I will be writing yet another absurd adventure for our little Alice and her friends (complete with illustrations as well!) in the near future... Heather E. Hutsell (1973-) was born in Fort Worth, TX, and spent her earliest years on Bainbridge Island, WA, before setting out to see the world at age 17. She started writing at age 11, knowing after entering and winning awards through the Young Author's program through school (and for the next 2 years following) that she was determined to be a published author. Her first book, "Awakening Alice"--a sequel to Lewis Carroll's " Alice in Wonderland ", was first published in the collaborative work " Ghost on the Highway " in 2006. She then went on to self-publish " Awakening Alice " along with its sequel " A Ticket for Patience " in an illustrated version, in 2007. Her next three books: " The Inter-Twinning " and " The Labyrinth of Empty " (both part of a trilogy in progress) and " By Blood, By Moon " followed in consecutive years. Future books (already in progress) include a prequel to " By Blood, By Moon "; a Steampunk oriented Victorian mystery (and others to follow); an illustrated book of short stories and " The Open Book"--the final installation to the Twins trilogy.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
