The deeper teachings of the Torah reveal to us that the weekly Torah reading is connected to the unique energetic properties of that week. Every Torah portion, and thus every week, radiates with a particular quality, a distinct energy that, when understood and received, can bring tremendous guidance and assistance to every facet of our lives. Delving into the weekly Torah reading and uncovering its overarching theme allows us to apply the power available on that week in our practical life. We can learn how to harness the Ko'ach, power, of each unique Torah reading to expand consciousness, overcome challenges, gain control of our lives, and come to learn how to serve Hashem, self and others more mindfully, productively and effectively. Weaving together the various facets of Torah interpretation, from the most esoteric (Kabbalah) and mystical (Chassidus) to the straightforward literal meaning (Peshat), this book is a multi-dimensional tapestry of practical, allegorical, philosophical, and mystical ideas and implications.   The Torah is our own inner narrative. Every dimension of our own conscious awareness and experience is reflected back to us in this Divine mirror, along with the appropriate medicines and meditations for transformation. By learning to top into the Energy of each Week, reflected in the Torah Reading of the Week, we have the ability to harness the Power of the Torah to draw down blessings and focus intentions for all the days of the week.  Our prayers and deepest desire is that "May You open our eyes to Your Torah" so that we can tap into and observe the wholeness and perfection that is always here. Opening This week and every week, across every continent on the globe, communities will gather to chant and contemplate a specific portion of the Torah. Individuals and groups will spend many joyful hours each week studying this portion, decoding and internalizing its messages and Ko'ach / power. These practices fill each participant with nourishment and strength; one receives many blessings and infusions of wisdom and guidance in his or her spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical life. As a result, one's important decisions often become easier, relationships become more whole and stable, the mind and heart become more luminous and clear, and one's service to family, community and nation flows with Divine benefit. We celebrate each of these weekly readings with the vivid sense that we are receiving the Torah anew. Indeed, our sages teach us that when a community reads from the Torah scroll, it is as if they are actually receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai" (Zohar 2, p. 206a). Every individual can experience a miniature Matan Torah / Giving of the Torah, a present-moment revelation of the Blessed Creator, the Source of all lives. And just as at Mount Sinai, sick individuals were healed in the tremendous downflow of blessings, when the Torah portion is recited in community, healing, power and blessings are drawn down to meet the changing needs of each individual. Every week, something unique and new is revealed in the world. This revelation streams through the particular stories, laws and moral examples of that week's portion — but also through the inner light of each of its words and letters, and the commentaries of each great Torah sage and teacher throughout history on that text... Live With the Times: The Alter Rebbe (1745-1812), the holy and profound first Rebbe / leader and teacher of Chabad, declared, "One needs to live with the times." This means we need to live with the portion of the week, demonstrating that each Parshah of the week has an intricate connection with the qualities and events of that week. Every part of the Torah contains life-lessons for all times and all events, yet the current Parshah has a precise relationship with current events and issues, both external and internal. There is a principle in Chassidic and Kabbalistic teachings: everything in the Torah, from the light of each of its laws, statements, stories, and truths, is contained within every human being and relevant to every person's life throughout all generations (Ohr HaMeir). Indeed, "There is no word of Torah that is not connected to each individual soul" (Beis Ya'akov), and "All that is written in the Torah, from the first word to the last, is relevant and connected to every person". This means that every letter, every word, every event, and every character in the Torah, carries some guidance, encouragement, or blessing for you at every moment. The word Torah comes from the word Hora'ah, meaning teaching or life lessons (Maharal, Tiferes Yisrael, Chap. 9. Zohar 3, 53b). The Torah is also called Torah Ohr / 'Torah of Light' — of illumination and guidance, showing us how to live our lives in the deepest and most meaningful way. The Torah teaches humanity a path of hope and redemption, for the world was created for a purpose, life has meaning, and justice is the foundation of civ
