A group of middle aged men get together to play the card game, Magic The Gathering. A cosmic fluke transports the group of friends to a distant world very similar to the one they so love to play. With their consciousness embedded into the bodies of a few native human and utterly inhuman creatures, they must find a way home. They are thrust into a deadly tournament and if they can survive the ordeal without dying horrifically or simply killing each other; they just may have a way back home to their former lives and families. This novella is an action comedy centering on a group of guys acting like guys in a weird fantasy setting. Acting in immature and inappropriate ways, basically how guys act towards each other when their significant others are not present. The humor is brash at times, immature always, with just a hint of swearing. It's been described as the unholy byproduct of a drunken threesome between Lord of the Rings, Hot Tub Time Machine, and The Hangover. So if you're feeling frisky and want to read something different give it a try but be warned: Once you delve into the inner workings of the middle aged male nerd you may never be able to escape.
