- For retrofit applications, remove wall plate and mounting screws.
- Carefully remove the existing receptacle from the box.
- Disconnect the wiring from the old receptacle.
- Connect the receptacle per wiring diagram: black lead to hot wire, white lead to neutral wire, green lead to ground wire.
- Tighten all screws and ensure no bare conductors are exposed. Torque: 12-14 pound-inches (1.3-1.6 Nm).
- Insert the receptacle into the wall box with screws provided and mount wall plate.
- Restore power at the circuit breaker. Installation is complete.
