This is a history of the Church in Kent, as contributed to by women, from Bertha to Simone Weil: scholars, politicians, mediators, reformers, patrons and missionaries. Let me introduce you to women who have transformed the Church and our understanding of it, who have changed the shape of our country and our society, and who have exercised their faith with enthusiasm, discipline and commitment. Herein are the stories of the women through the centuries who have picked up the inheritance of Christianity brought to Kent by Bertha and run with it: Bertha's Daughters.
