And behind the politics are the filthy rich, male dominate society and their wives, where prestige, breeding, and education are everything. Which leads to the one thing Nattie and Uri don’t have. They are only husband and wife within the Viperian community. Relationships don’t need to be sealed with paper. And sex is both a weapon of strength and a symbol of weakness. One needs to prevail.
