This novel applies imagination to historical events revolving around the life of Black Hawk, a Sauk leader and warrior. His life was tremendously eventful. Passing through it were an impressive number of American historical figures: William Henry Harrison; Tecumseh; Zachary Taylor; Abraham Lincoln; and Jefferson Davis, to name a few. Black Hawk lived through the War of 1812 and the Sauk extermination of 1832. He lived a series of extraordinary adventures. This novel attempts to bring those adventures to life.
