The Kassites have ruled Babylon for over two centuries but have suffered a debilitating defeat at the hands of the Elamites. With internal conflict brewing among their native subjects, the looming power of Assyria to the north, and the barbarian Elamites at the gates, all hope is lost. In an attempt to preserve what remains, King Enlil has entrusted his army to the command of a talented outsider, Klewos of Scythia. With the Scythian's aid, Enlil hopes to beat back the vicious Elamites, but Klewos has his own agenda that threatens to bring the city to ruin.
