The Blur of Darkness is a character created in another of Peter Brusso’s books, Random Short Stories from my Mind, Book 2, based on a true story. In this story, a 14-year-old female was almost taken captive by a serial killer while she watched the Long Beach Grand Prix; again a true story. The perp grabbed this teen as she walked by his “snatch and grab” windowless van and was thrown inside to be whisked away to what would have been her death or sold into sex trafficking. The real victim, whose character is Tammie Tyler, had taken a free 20-minute martial arts lesson where she learned what is known as a Reverse Punch. The perp grabs Tammie, and she hits him in the nose, breaking it and almost knocking him out, and that really happened. In the story’s case, Chloe Emoricic, a middle-aged black female Ninja Master from Japan, came flying out of the van she was thrown in and attacked the perp. She broke his forearm, a compound fracture with a pearl white, sharp, jagged-edged bone sticking out, and then took that arm and jammed the bone into his neck! Then she broke his knee backward, and down he went. When she came out of the van, she was a Blur of Darkness that descended on the perp; that is how her character came to life. Now, she has her novel series, much like a superhero in a comic book; she fights evil in our world with her ancient Ninja skills, all the while being a successful businesswoman who owns an empire of floral design franchises, all under her company of Abe Floral Design headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. She now has waged war on a new hideous gang called the Greys. They have a gang leader, a mathematician who calculates how and where they can yield the most money from robbing people on buses and commuter trains. This gang is real and is now in 5 USA cities, so Chloe, or Blur of Darkness, is using her 1500-year Ninja technology to combat this gang and bring “Justice for All” in this four-book series. In the first book, she is centered on the Grey gang as it is an entirely new model for a criminal group. Why? They only use kids up to 18 as their foot soldiers due to the policies of “Defund the Police” and the “progressive DA’s” in these large cities that refuse to prosecute particular classes of people. But in this case, they will do nothing to kids under 18 so they can be directed to rob, rape, pillage, and plunder anyone with total immunity. Blur brings back accountability for one’s actions, and in many ways, in the rudest way possible to send that message. In this book, you will learn about many of the Ninja secrets she uses, how she uses them, and many of the tools of the trade are upgraded to more modern technology, but the effectiveness of the killing of the ancient Ninja technology is still very much alive. We have even invented a real-world “Blur of Darkness” self-defense tool. The best part is that the modern world can’t understand how these Grey foot soldiers are dying. Modern CSI and Medical Examiners don’t have the tools to find or even comprehend the Ninja Killing Technology. So, there is a “cat and mouse” feel to the story as Blur completes operations against the Greys; the Greys can’t stop her from killing them, a fact that might make them stop what they are doing or not. The or not will lead to their extermination; then Blur will move to the next infested city until her mission is complete; Blur is based on a real person who also came to California and trained as a Ninja! In the book, her character Ninja Training was first written, then she flew from Chicago to train with real Ninja Masters. She also participated in a real Ninja Night Op, so as you read this novel, it’s as real as it gets when you get to her training. Also, in the book are some very romantic experiences that many female readers will find most exciting, so it doesn’t get better than suspense, violence, and romance all rolled into one novel.
