A race war between humans, elves, and dwarves has been ongoing for more than twenty years, ever since The Calamity occurred. The Calamity was assumed to be a natural disaster, though there was no recorded history before it happened nor did people have memories prior to it. Two brothers set off on an impossible mission: to quell the tension and bring peace to the world. Using their special abilities, known as Brands, will they succeed in their quest of peace, or will this journey spell certain doom? Either way, what happens will forever change their world. Along the way they will make friends and enemies, visit mysterious places, and learn more about these Brands. For in this world, Brands have only existed since The Calamity, and they are what we might consider magic. However, everyone knows magic isn’t real. It’s only in fairy tales.
