Hirut’s story is one of many trials, triumphs, love, and faith, from her upbringing in Ethiopia to her life-changing experiences in America. Her determination and courage enabled her to assimilate into her new world after moving to America, a place she had imagined to be the land of milk and honey. In pursuit of building a positive image for herself, Hirut stays true to her faith, culture, and life experiences.
