The heart of Hollywood when Hollywood defined glamour, romance and sophistication, The Brown Derby was once the most famous restaurant in the world. Sinatra, Davis, Bogart, Tracy, Olivier, and Leigh dined, partied and romanced at its tables. The Cobb salad was created here, and its location, at Hollywood and Vine, has become part of the vernacular. Sally Wright Cobb remembers the heyday of the restaurant her husband founded in this richly illustrated cookbook and Hollywood memoir. Reproduced here are dozens of drawings, photographs and menus from the restaurant's unpublished archives. Many of the Derby's signature dishes are included, most notably, Cobb Salad. Sally Wright Cobb was married to Bob Cobb, the owner of The Brown Derby, for 25 years, and ran the restaurant after his death in 1970. Mark Willems is a writer and artist Used Book in Good Condition

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
