INCLUDED ITEMS:
1 BugSnub Shepherd's Hook Guard
1 Packet (3.5 mL) of BugSnub Insect Blocking Gel
INSTRUCTIONS
Slide the cup onto your shepherd’s hook. The cup opening faces downward (the word “BugSnub” on the side of the cup should be upright). It can stretch, and it should fit snugly.
Squeeze at least 2/3 of a packet of gel into the cup. It may be easier to apply the gel if you flip the cup inside-out.
Smear the gel evenly inside the cup. The gel must form a complete ring.
Hang your bird feeder from the shepherd’s hook. Don’t allow your feeder to touch other objects, like tree branches. This could give ants a path to the nectar, bypassing the BugSnub.
Occasionally inspect the gel for foreign debris that could create a bridge for ants.
USES
Block ants from anything that is hung from a shepherd’s hook, such as:
Hummingbird nectar feeder
Oriole feeder
Hanging garden plants
Hanging bird houses
ABOUT
We created BugSnub products to solve our own struggle with ants. We were tired of throwing away ant infested bowls of expensive dog and cat food and battling ants in the kitchen and in our hummingbird feeders. We didn't like the messy, dirty water moats or the idea of using poisons, so we developed the only product that has ever truly worked for us- BugSnub. BugSnub ant guards protect your hummingbird feeder from ants using a physical barrier of mineral oil based gel. It does not harm or trap insects; they just can’t walk across it. The gel is applied to the inside of an upside-down cup, so it’s protected from being bumped by your hands and it won’t collect leaves, rain water, or insects. The gel is very durable- it won't dry up or melt in the hot sun, it’s waterproof, and very long lasting. One application can last all year. BugSnub’s patent pending system blocks ants.
