Bullying: Words Matter, Actions Matter is an artist’s book created by John Schlimm, and published by the Community Education Center of Elk and Cameron Counties. The main goals of this 26-page, 6″x9″ artist’s book are to raise awareness of bullying and to provide a creative tool for navigating and talking about the issue in K-12 schools and beyond through both colorful and creative images that are engaging and relatable to all ages. John's previous artist's book, 988/END THE STIGMAS , was focused on suicide prevention. It was part of a 988 Lifeline campaign that was awarded the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health's 2025 "Pennsylvania Regional Rural Health Program of the Year" in partnership with the Cameron/Elk Suicide Prevention Task Force and other community collaborators. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: John Schlimm is a Harvard-trained educator, mental health and youth advocate, multimedia artist, and international award-winning author of more than two-dozen books spanning multiple genres.
