Environment: Built for durability, these anchors are designed for use in a moist environment. Their robust construction ensures longevity, making them perfect for projects anchoring to concrete only, not brick, block or grout. Hole Diameter/Bit Diameter: For optimal installation, use an ANSI imperial bit the same diameter as the diameter of the anchor. Hardware included: Each anchor comes with the required nut and washer to use on the anchor for installation. Secure Hold: The wedge expansion anchor design ensures a dependable and strong hold, ideal for demanding applications. Durability: Built tough with rugged steel construction and galvanized coating for superior, long-lasting performance. Applications
The anchor is made from Carbon Steel, and is Galvanized Carbon-Steel. This anchor is designed for use in Concrete only, and should never be used in block or brick base material. Environment
The anchor is designed for use in a Damp environment.Hole Diameter/Bit Diameter
The anchor requires a 1/2" hole to be drilled in the base material (Concrete only). The hole should be drilled with carbide tipped bit that meets ANSI standards and used in a hammer drill.Diameter of Anchor
The diameter of the anchor is 1/2".Length Anchor
The length of the anchor is 5-1/2"Thread Length
The length of the threads on the anchor is 4" in length.Minimum Embedment
The minimum anchor embedment into the concrete is 2-1/4". Therefore, the anchor must be installed so that a minimum of 2-1/4" of the anchor is embedded into the concrete.Maximum Fixture Thickness
The maximum fixture thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being fastened for a anchor is 2-3/4". This will ensure that the minimum embedment of 2-1/4" will be met.Fixture Hole Diameter
The hole in the fixture or material being fastened must be larger than the designated diameter of the anchor. The 1/2" diameter anchor requires the hole in the fixture to be 5/8".Torque Value
To be set properly in the concrete, the anchor must be torqued to between 50 - 60 ft./lbs.Spacing between Anchors
Each anchor must be spaced a minimum distance of 5" from each other when measured center to center.Edge Distance
It is very important not to install the anchor any closer than 2-1/2" from an unsupported edge of the concrete.
