ABOUT THE BOOK On Tuesday, January 19, 2021, while I was doing my morning prayer devotions, I had a powerful encounter with Jesus in chapter 15 of the Gospel according to Saint John. You never know when the channel of revelation will open to you by reading the Holy Scriptures. That morning, the relationship that Jesus desires to have with his disciples became very real to me, who are not only those of the first century, but disciples of all ages. I believe that that day and the next two I spent praying with Jesus and telling him that I was only a branch of Him who in John 15 is presented as the true Vine. On Thursday of that same week, I was scheduled to preach at Maranatha Church East in Panama, and I didn't have a prepared message. I opened John 15 and began speaking from my heart. The topic of my short message was, "Why does Jesus insist that I remain in Him ?" What I felt that night was very powerful, and I felt like I had discovered another key to my life and my ministry. My divine connection with Jesus would be the priority of my life from now on. And it's not like I was disconnected. All year 2020, I had been on an intense and desperate search for God. Let me share what I wrote about that night. “Tonight at Maranatha East I believe I had a new beginning in my spiritual life and in my preaching endeavors. About two days ago I reached chapter 15 of John and something I was not expecting happened to me. The great importance of this chapter in the life of any disciple of Jesus began to become very real and feasible to me. This did not happen because I heard or read about the subject of the Vine and the branches. This happened only because Jesus, how in the last few weeks He has heard me in my insistence that I want to know Him, as I ask Him to appear to me. Tonight I was directed to preach from the chapter without notes or notes. It was something out of the ordinary, that in 34 minutes the Holy Spirit said more than I ever would have said in one hour about union with Christ . In the process of this experience, I began to delve deeper into the subject until one day I received 30 titles to write a book of meditations on the Vine and the Branches. With great humility, yet with great joy, I present this writing to you, which I know is part of the treasure I have received from my Jesus as a branch united to Him who is the True Vine. Read it, study it, meditate on it, and share with others the blessing of being united to Jesus . At the end of each chapter there is a short prayer that came from my heart. I love you and bless you.
