SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER Sometimes we fail at our relationships because we tend to avoid real and authentic conversations that require vulnerability, while coasting on the surface. Speaking our truth and saying what's real can be hard. It's also hard to hear someone else's truth that doesn't match up with our own—but God has a way of connecting the pieces of the puzzle. That pink elephant in the room needs to be moved in order for healing to transform our relationships. True courageous conversations have the ability to do just that: heal, transform, and connect. GROWING THROUGH THE STORM Bad things do happen to good people and often disrupt good relationships. Even the healthiest relationships can be challenged in the aftermath of unexpected trauma, tragedy, or loss. Most of us are in the middle of a storm, coming out of a storm, or going into a storm. To grow through a storm will require more of you than you ever imagined. Don't wait for the storm to come before you decide to prepare for it. Think about how to access the deeper part of you that's built for endurance. You are stronger than you think and your emotional strength muscles are there waiting to see you through. YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH Embrace the ability to stay in your own lane and focus on the greatest competition of all: competition with yourself. Each day, wake up with the realization that you have another opportunity to make a difference in your corner of the world. Smile early in the morning and often throughout the day at the thought of you blazing a path that makes sense out of the non-sense.
